A top 500 social and environmental organization in Latin America has just ranked a Nosara based venture in the top 30. Latino America Verde ranks projects The goal for “The Guardians of Nature” is to teach kids why taking care of Mother Earth is so important. The program is “creating free tools for kids and teachers and giving them experiences where they are in touch with nature and protecting it” says Jessica Sheffield, founder of the Guardian Movement. Latino America Verde has also ranked them 8th place in the sustainable human development index. According to their website, this category ranks projects according to social issues, gender equality, helping people in vulnerable states, community support, employment generation, poverty reduction as well as others.
