The NOSARA Letras project recently launched in Playa Guiones at the Ruta 160 and Main Street intersection in front of the tennis courts, Cafe Paris, Coconut Harry’s Surf Shop & Welcome Center and Marlin Bill’s area.

Some residents were initially confused about it’s arrival and wondered what the purpose was. However, tourists immediately gathered to take pictures and have continued to do so each day since.

Recently artists Carlos Valenzuela, Manuel Castro, and Mael Von Der Weid visited the Nosara Podcast to explain their vision and purpose and detail how much work was put into the project to honor Nosara’s history and culture.

The artists explain how important it is for the NOSARA Letras project to be a unifying force including all of Nosara’s diversity. They also share many thoughts and personal opinions about art in general, Nosara likes and dislikes, and of course their favorite Nosara restaurants.
